I had the pleasure of traveling to Seminyak, Bali and it reminded me so much of Lagos, Nigeria. I captured my experience in Seminyak in the video above.

Seminyak is a beach resort area at the southern end of Bali, Indonesia, with many luxury hotels, villas and spas, as well as high-end shopping and restaurants. Sleek bars and clubs with busy sunset scenes line Seminyak and Petitenget beaches, which are wide, west-facing stretches of Indian Ocean shoreline with gray sand and good surfing conditions.

1. Spend an Afternoon at Mrs. Sippy

Mrs. Sippy is Bali’s largest saltwater pool haven, home to the most glamorous pool parties, wedding events, music festivals and more in the heart of Seminyak.

You can get a full body 45-minute massage for as little as $8. It doesn’t matter what spa you go into, you’re guaranteed to get a relaxing experience wherever you go.

3. Take a Cooking Class

Learn how to make authentic Balinese cuisines such as Nasi goreng, Nasi campur, and sambal. A great group and team building activity.

4. Go Surfing at Seminyak Beach

Surfing is one of the main attraction of Bali. It is well-known for its high tide during the summer. Whether you’re a novice or a competing champion this is definitely something to do while you’re in town.

5. Visit the Pura Petitenget Temple

Pay a small fee at the gate to check out Petitenget Temple by the beach. The temple is built of red brick and sandstone, and it’s an important, ancient Hindu temple of Seminyak.

6. Visit the W Hotel

The W Hotel in Bali is one of the most beautiful resorts in Seminyak. The hotel features breathing taking views and state-of-the-art facility, but the real attraction is the staff! They get an A+ for hospitality! Be sure to take in the bamboo forest entrance as you walk into the hotel.

Potato Head Beach Club is one of the most Instagrammed places in Seminyak. It has quickly gained popularity for its Indonesian lifestyle that features three restaurants, a bar, infinity pool, and stunning views of the sunset.
